What We Do
Hands of Mothers (formerly known as Manos de Madres) empowers vulnerable women and young adults through economic development.
Hands of Mothers strives to generate prosperity and promote health by creating business opportunities for women and providing support in the skills needed to sustain them. We fund vocational education and provide skills training, business coaching, micro loans and market linkages support.
Hands of Mothers has supported over 600 women to launch and sustain businesses in Honduras, South Africa, and Rwanda. With their increased income, these women and their more than 3,000 children have enjoyed improved nutrition, health, housing, and education. We have provided the tools but the women have contributed their strength and courage.
